Glossary

This glossary contains the most important terms and concepts used in the planr documentation.

A

Absence

An employee's absence, such as vacation, training, or other non-productive times. Absences can be recorded and managed in planr.

Display Options

Settings that can be accessed via the eye icon in the upper right corner. Allow customization of the display of information such as description, notes, and date.

Equipment

Resources such as tools, vehicles, or other company equipment that can be managed and assigned to employees in planr.

Capacity Utilization

The measurement and display of the workload of employees or resources over a specific period.

User Role

An access level that defines a user's permissions in planr. There are four different levels:

  1. Read-only access (e.g., employee)
  2. Write and read access (e.g., project manager)
  3. Extended rights incl. settings (e.g., managing director, secretariat)
  4. Enterprise rights for all group companies

C

Calendar View

One of the various views in planr that displays planning over a period. Available views are Day, Work Week, Week, Month, and Year.

D

Detail View

An extended view in planr that shows detailed information about dispatches. Allows changing, moving, or copying dispatches via drag & drop.

Dispatch

The assignment of employees to projects, service orders, or other tasks. Dispatches can be created and managed in various views (Employee, Projects, Service, Absences).

Employee View

One of the main views in planr that displays the dispatches and availability of employees.

ERP Interface

The connection between planr and the company's ERP system. Allows automatic data exchange of:

  • Employee master data
  • Absences
  • Project data
  • Service orders

Filters

Tools in planr that allow filtering the display of data according to specific criteria to find relevant information faster.

Language Settings

Options for adjusting the language in the planr user interface.

A web-based application for efficient resource planning, especially for employee scheduling. Offers functions for:

  • Personnel scheduling
  • Equipment management
  • Capacity planning
  • Project management
  • Absence management

Project View

One of the main views in planr that displays the assignment of employees to projects.

S

Service Order

An order that must be executed by an employee. Can be managed and dispatched in planr.

Service View

One of the main views in planr that displays the assignment of employees to service orders.

Settings

Configuration options for basic data, working hours, calendar, colors, and personal settings in planr.

Switch Company

Function for Enterprise customers that allows switching between different group companies without having to log in again.

Information about the latest changes and improvements in planr.
